Detailed information

Product detailed description

Smart CO₂ Sensor for Healthier Air and Automatic Ventilation
This room sensor is designed and optimized for full integration with the Smarwi system for automated ventilation and window control. It is equipped with a sensor that monitors the carbon dioxide (CO₂) concentration in the air. When preset limits are exceeded, the sensor automatically sends a signal to the Smarwi controller, which opens the window to improve ventilation. CO₂ is a reliable indicator of indoor air quality and room occupancy — high levels (above approx. 1200 ppm) can reduce concentration and cause fatigue, headaches, and discomfort.

Startup

When powered on, all indicator lights briefly flash. Within one minute, the sensor is ready for use, and after four days of continuous operation, it reaches its maximum accuracy.

Fault Indication

If all indicator lights remain permanently on, it indicates a sensor malfunction.

Relay Switching Level Adjustment

The relay can be easily configured using the rotary selector:

  • Adjustment range: 0–100% corresponds to the selected CO₂ range (e.g., 0–2000 ppm)
  • Activation: the relay switches on when CO₂ concentration exceeds the set level
  • Deactivation: the relay switches off when the concentration drops below the set level minus hysteresis (5% of full range)
  • Minimum delay: there is always at least a 2-minute interval between state changes

Example:
If the range is set to 0–2000 ppm and the selector to 50%, the switching point corresponds to 1000 ppm.
The relay activates when this level is exceeded and deactivates when CO₂ drops below 900 ppm (1000 ppm – 5% of range = 1000 – 100).

Automatic CO₂ Sensor Calibration

The sensor features an automatic calibration function that continuously adjusts measurements and compensates for component aging. This means the user does not need to perform manual calibration — the sensor maintains its accuracy throughout its entire lifespan. The function remains active as long as the sensor is continuously powered.

Air Quality Light Indication

White light – CO₂ concentration below 600 ppm

The air is very clean, and the CO₂ level is low. However, from an energy-saving perspective, maintaining such a low value is not necessary.

Green light – CO₂ concentration between 600 and 1200 ppm

This range represents the ideal balance between healthy indoor air and energy efficiency during ventilation. User comfort remains optimal.

Yellow light – CO₂ concentration above 1200 ppm

This range represents the ideal balance between healthy indoor air and energy efficiency during ventilation. User comfort remains optimal.

How Many Sensors Can Be Connected?

Only one sensor can be connected to the Smarwi system at a time. Choose the one that best suits your home’s needs — it is not possible to use multiple sensors simultaneously.

Advantages of the Integrated Solution

  • Safe low-voltage connection
  • Automatic monitoring of indoor air quality levels
  • Direct integration with the Smarwi control button
  • Manual ventilation activation via the button on the sensor
  • Discreet design suitable for residential interiors

Safe and Simple Power Supply

  • Our sensor can be powered directly from the 12 V DC Smarwi power source.
  • No separate socket required
  • No handling of 230 V mains voltage
  • Easy installation — even for non-professionals

Both power and signal connections are provided through a single shared cable, ensuring quick and effortless setup.
